Synopsis
George Washington Williams was an American Civil War veteran, minister, politician, lawyer, journalist, and groundbreaking historian of African-American history. Shortly before his death he travelled to King Leopold II's Congo Free State. Shortly before his death he travelled to King Leopold II's Congo Free State.
