      Great in the country but very expensive

      This is very expensive but there are no real options so, having read the reviews, I bit the bullet. Sure enough, in a rural area with light traffic it's great and I would buy it again. What's good: - it's extremely accurate - gets every car, no false alarms - it integrates very intuitively into the head unit. On my Wahoo it uses a thin column to show approaching cars and the LEDs as an alert. The first car in a while beeps and flashes to get your attention while subsequent cars just keep the lights on - fine in group riding; you can't trust it to catch the cars with someone right behind you but it's not constantly sounding off due to the other cyclists - it's well designed and well made. Solid construction, easy pairing, single button with intuitive function. What's not good - the price. ...

      Nice piece of kit

      I'm in to gadgets & cycling so this was a no brainer for me. I've only used it a couple of times but it seems to do a good job of warning you of what's approaching from behind, not that you can do much about it but at least there's no surprises. It connected easily to my Garmin Edge 1000, though I did turn the Varia off for a coffee stop and the Garmin didn't reconnect... bit odd. The light is OK but could do with a few more lumens. I used it on a group ride and my fellow cyclists appreciated it each time I yelled out "Car back!!". At least I think they did šŸ˜ƒ

      Garmin Varia RTL 515 Radar & Tail Light

      Its is a great piece of kit as a rear light and radar to tell me of upcoming vehicles. Due to the number of either Hybrid & Electrical cars it keeps me aware of following vehicles.

      You don't know until you try it

      I thought I could easily manage with out this e.g. mirrors Since buying I will not go without it now. It's amazing. Garmin is definitely the best but you gave to have the garmin edge with it. That starts to make it all expensive

      Must have to safer cycling

      Brilliant rear light used it recently in France makes ridding so much safer when riding on busy roads specially when I was in a different country at a very busy time during the Tour de France
