    Life is often confusing and annoying, especially when you dont have a full vocabulary to express your frustrations Our two year old loves the pictures, and has already internalized many of the (simple) coping strategies mentioned Great book, and one of the best of a good series

    Parents: have this book on hand!

    If you are a parent and you don't have this book, Get It! Short and simple to read, fun pictures, but most importantly, it is all about things your child can do to calm themselves! Starts off acknowledging that "it's ok to cry," because sometimes they just need their disappointment to be validated. Then it follows up with several pages of ways we can calm ourselves. My daughter and I came up with a quiet song for that page, and she does in fact sing it to herself! This is a great book to have nearby, so when the little things get too hard to handle, kids can read and emulate Little Monkey. And then they'll be ready to have a fun day!
