The supplier was brilliant and sent me an email stating that they were prepared to deliver a replacement using the P.O 24 hour "guaranteed" service should the item not appear when I returned from a short break. Great credit to them - thumbs down to the post office.

After breaking one of a matching pair a few days earlier I couldn't have asked for a better solution! It was expensive- about the same as we'd originally paid for two from John Lewis but as the lamps are now discontinued I was prepared to pay.
