    Superb production

    This is the definitive production of this captivating work. Everything in the production is pitch-perfect, and explains why it has been a success at every venue it has been presented - from Santa Fe to the Met, and throughout Europe. The DVD adds further value in presenting interviews by the director, the conductor, and the two leading players - Joyce di Donato and Alice Coote. I consider this set to be the pride of my collection of opera recordings..
