    Review of the movie "Grant."

    This is a very entertaining and educational movie / video. It was a little one-sided for the Union cause. More information could have also been offered for the Confederate cause as well, to maintain total objectivity. Not a word was said for Grant's immediate successor, Rutherford B. Hayes, who actually ended the horrors of the Reconstruction in the South. Still, it was an excellent movie.

    Gripping and Highly Informative, a Must See

    Well cast and historically honest portrayal of USG's life and the part he played in American history, which was pivotal. This docudrama includes historical photos and excellent reenactments and covers Grant's entire lifetime, not just the war, though the civil war and particularly the Appomattox scenes are powerful. Think you know Grant? Think again. We binged it and plan to watch again.

    Not Much for American History...but this is well Done

    I am a Canadian...and have really never been interested in the History of America...but I have seen a few Documentaries on the Civil War...but his one by far is the Best I have ever seen...very well put together with some very fine actors

    This is a remarkable miniseries about a man that few people know much about. Very eye opening. U.S. Grant is now a personal hero to me. I recommend it to everyone. The price of this DVD was also a bargain.
