The area at the pockets is at least three inches bigger than the waist. In the photos it looks like they are straight leg. I contacted the seller to let them know I would be donating these, since shipping them back would cost more than the pants. That was a few days ago. I haven’t had a reply. Below is there photo showing what looks to be a straight leg. The second is my photo, showing the taper.
