One of the most popular television shows of the 1980s, THE GOLDEN GIRLS was created by television writer Susan Harris (SOAP). The show centered on four elderly single women living in the same house together, all played by sitcom veterans: sensible Dorothy (Bea Arthur), sweet but stupid Rose (Betty White), lusty Blanche (Rue McClanahan), and Dorothy's outspoken mother Sophia (Estelle Getty). The program was nominated for many Emmy and Golden Globe awards, and was consistently in Nielsen's top 10 for its entire run, garnering both critical acclaim and public popularity. It also proved daring for its time, tackling sensitive political issues and for the mere fact it was a prime time show whose characters were much older than television's most desired demographic. SEASON TWO collects all 25 episodes from the program's second year, and features guest stars such as Burt Reynolds, George Clooney, and Rita Moreno.

    I purchased this product understanding that at some point my cat could rip it open and I would have to throw it out. I did not realize that it would be in under 1 minute. I contacted the seller and he said you should have read my disclaimer. He offered to give me my money back but wants the product back. If I ship the product back it will cost me almost as much as the money he refunds me so a complete loss for me. I would not purchase from this seller ever again! Garbage!

    I WATCHED THE GOLDEN GIRLS WHEN I WAS A KID WITH MY PARENTS. I THINK A LOT OF THE JOKES WERE OVER MY HEAD. I WATCH THE SHOWS NOW AND I ENJOY ALL OF THEM. THESE WERE THE FUNNIEST LADIES ON TV AT THE TIME. EVERY ONE OF THEM HAD A GREAT HISTORY OF TV SHOWS BY THE TIME THEY DID THE GOLDEN GIRLS. BEA ARTHUR, WAS MAUDE, WHO STARTED ON AN EPISODE OF ALL IN THE FAMILY. BETTY WHITE WAS ON TV WHEN IT WAS INVENTED. SHE HAD THE EARLIEST TV TALK SHOWS. RUE AND ESTELLE GETTY ROUND OUT THE CAST. IF YOU WANT TO RELAX AND ENJOY A FEW LAUGHS, GET THESE GOLDEN GIRLS TV SHOW SETS. THE SHOWS LOOK AMAZING AND THEY'RE COMPLETE AND UNCUT. NO COMMERCIALS! HAVE A SLICE OF CHEESECAKE WITH THE GIRLS!
