    Great second hand kindle

    It's a 4th generation kindle, which hasn't stated in the ad, but I googled the serial number (so I could buy the case for it) I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a kindle and because my phone got a huge screen I usually read my books on my phone, but out in the sunshine it's always a challenge. So I needed a kindle, but I didn't need any fancy features. It's a basic model. The screen hasn't got a built in light, so if you need to read in dark, you should look for a newer version (paperwhite for example) or you can buy cases with built in lights. It's a very basic model but it does what I bought it for and I'm happy with it. There's no real sign of use on the device, can't see any scatches or cracks. It's really in a good condition. Can't wait to use it on my vacations!

    Updates required

    Worth knowing that this model may well need updates and that this is not the easiest thing to do. If not running 4.1.4 then it is not compatible with Amazon, so you may need to plug into computer and perform a series of consecutive updates (we had to do 3) before it will connect with an Amazon account. When done though all should work well. The girls prefer the buttons rather than the touch screen on later models.

    Kindle Classic

    I bought this kindle because I do NOT want to change up the later versions of Kindles. All I want is a bog standard reader without being pestered by adverts and according to others a notable decline in performance and quality of the later generation of readers. I have my old kindle and it is still going strong. The only difference between my old reader and this one is the writing on the top "DEMO NOT FOR SALE" . Do not be put off by this,because what you have is an excellent classic reader at a reasonable price. Buy with confidence!

    Bought this to replace mine which had ceased to work. Excellent product didn't want to buy the new touchscreen versions which is why I purchased this one that I am happy with.

    Amazon Kindle 4th Generation

    This Kindle was bought for my husband as I have had one for a few years now, it is Light weight, easy for reading, hence the buying one for my husband one negative is finding a 6" case to fit it.
