My favorite roof top Kayak rack!
Thule Yak stackers are really great. They are versatile, as they allow up to 4 kayaks on a car. I have had these on top of a 2011 Kia Sportage and a 2017 Subaru Forester. They also fold flat, so garage parking isn't a problem. They are aluminum and will not rust. However, the mounting hardware is painted steel and will rust eventually if not maintained (occasional rinsing, lubrication/wd-40, and removed during snow winters). The other draw back is that there is nothing to hold your kayaks in place while you strap them on. Your kayaks are merely leaning against the stackers and can easily slip while you are trying to strap them on. I've tried other kayak roof options, but the Thule Yak stackers are my favorite.
