    Better than the 2008 remix

    This version of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is the remastered edition using the original mix. Personally I prefer this to the newer remix of 2008 because it sounds as I remember it back in 1974. It has been remastered to give a clean and full sound. However, the 2008 remix places an odd emphasis on particular instruments and pushes to the back some of the integral percussion that make this album so unique. Of course if you are only just discovering Genesis then the remixed later edition may be OK, but for me it was essential that it sounded like I remembered it.

    The one that got away!

    I've been an avid Genesis fan since 1976 and have most of their albums up to "Duke" in 1980 (didn't rate the ones after that too much!) Somehow this album evaded me all these years and now, having listened to it first on Amazon music, I decided to buy it and wow! Great double album with some interesting tracks plus some real classics like "In the Cage" and the mesmerising "Carpet Crawlers". Would highly recommend to any serious Genesis fan and those maybe newly discovering their old stuff - give this album a go! Honestly you will NOT be disappointed!

    Genesis on top form,shame this line came to an end
