Simple upgrade
Few things are as easy to replace as an ignition coil, but what a difference this one makes! My 1967 Mustang GTA was suffering from a rich mixture, fouled spark plugs and sluggish performance. I had already determined the carb was running a bit rich, but that wasn’t the full story. I wanted to improve the ignition system by upgrading to electronic ignition (Pertronix Ignitor II) and a coil upgrade from the original made sense. I also incorporated the Pertronix relay to allow me to run full 12v power to the coil without hacking up the original wiring. The combination worked like magic and my Mustang runs great now, chirping the tires in second gear. Well worth the modest investment. Pertronix-Flame-Thrower-II-Coil
I've had a black Pertronix Flame-Thrower II Coil for several years. It has worked fine for several years, but I decided to add a little more bling under the hood with the chrome version. Works just fine and is a match for my Pertronix Ignitor II.
