Received good reports on the quality of my audio from receiving ham stations. Nice size, easy to carry. Battery life is as expected, not bad but you should buy a spare battery and have it charged and ready. Programming the repeater frequencies in the memory is not very intuitive, plan to spend some time doing this. The little speaker in the radio does amazingly well, can go very loud without distortion, a big plus for a handheld radio. Other handhelds I own do not have the robust audio this little guy has. Overall a great radio and for a bargain price !

Definitely worth the price. These radios perform well and are easy to operate. Many useful features. Can't find any major cons. The audio quality is great and they are easy to program with the optional USB to Serial cable. (Be sure to get the recommended cable). Even if you're not into Ham radio, they make great family or sportsman radios.

The unit works great. Documentation is 99% complete. Manual font is small and rather hard to read. Most companies put out an online PDF file owner's manual. This would allow the customer to download the PDF file to their phone or tablet or computer. Easier to use your phone to read the manual in the field instead of carry around a paper manual. This also allows one to increase the font size for easier reading. The belt clip has a hinge pin that can come out and was hard for me to get back in. Would be easy for someone who can handle small things like a dentist or brain surgeons. It appears the pin could come out while wearing the phone causing the phone to fall and hit the ground. Great product. Plan on buying 2 more.
