Main characteristics of goods
 
Every item on mrteak.co.uk will be accompanied with an appropriate description and by a representative image.
 
In some cases the product may vary from the image displayed where the manufacturer has updated the packaging or improved the look of the product without informing us. Also note that colours can vary due to conditions at the time photography, possible natural variations in colour and also the setup and model of your computer monitor.
 
Pricing
 
All prices quoted are in British pounds (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT). If the price goes up or down in between you placing and receiving your order, we will honour the original price.
 
Ordering and stock availability
 
We aim to display only items that are in stock and which can be dispatched to you quickly. From time to time we may sell out of some lines, in which case we will aim to advise you within the 7-10 day delivery period. If this does occur, you will be given the opportunity to order an alternative or receive a full refund for the full price you paid.
 
Mr Teak makes no representation as to the goods, items, products or services referred to in, or sold from, this website as being available or suitable for use.
 
Damages & shortages
 
It is rare for items to get damaged in transit but accidents can happen and occasionally there may be a packing error resulting in a shortage.
 
It is vital that all orders are checked on delivery and we are notified of any damages or shortages within 48 hours. In these cases it is best to call us to lets us know, but if you do email then ensure that we have acknowledged the email before the time elapses as we cannot take responsibility for non delivery of an email.
 
If it is not possible to check the item at the time of delivery for any reason then please let us know so that we can discuss the risks involved if the item is not being checked. Unfortunately once the 48 hours have elapsed the couriers insurance lapses and claims cannot be made. This is why it is safer to always check items on the day of delivery even if the outer packaging appears to be intact. To speed the process up we may on occasion ask for images of the damage.
 
Cancellation
 
Orders can be cancelled by emailing sales@mrteak.co.uk stating the order reference. Credit / Debit cards will be refunded within 5 working days. If an order has been dispatched and the cancellation is due to the item no longer being required then it will be your responsibility to return the item or to cover the cost of the courier returning the item to us.
 
In the instance of a faulty product we will arrange to exchange the item for a replacement of the same model. We may however need to determine the cause of the fault and the exchange would depend on the nature of the item / fault and the conditions of the manufacturers warranty. To speed the process up we may on occasion ask for images of the fault, if it is a visible problem.
 
Please note that if one or more items are returned for a refund and the remaining items on the order would have incurred a delivery charge then this charge will need to be deducted from the refund value.
 
Guarantee
 
This gurantee exludes damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse or normal weathering.
 
Warranties
 
We aim to deliver goods of the highest quality. Where the Goods are products we warrant that they will meet their specification.
 
Changes to the terms
 
Mr Teak reserves the right ot remove, modify or change, without notice, any information on this website from time to time. Mr Teak may change these terms at any time by posting notice of the changes on the website . If you use the website after Mr Teak has posted the changes you will be bound by the new terms.     Yes, bought one of these teak banana shaped benches two years ago from Mr Teak (Tom Blair); so pleased with its condition and comfort two years on, bought a second one (as a wedding present!). I tend to believe the firm when they say pay a bit more to get this high quality product. A particularly good buy recently because a free cushion included, as well as free delivery.

    Very well made

    Outstanding quality bench. If you want to treat it and keep it the same colour as when it arrives (as I did) be mindful of which teak oil you buy. I bought Ronseal "Clear" teak oil which looked clear when poured out but changed the colour to a much darker shade - even though it looks clear. Gutted, but still love the bench.

    banana bench

    Bought this bench from Mr Teak after scouring the internet. One site was trying to sell the exact same bench for £600! Mine cost me £200 with free delivery. I have given it several coats of teak oil and it looks great and is very comfy. There is some small cracks here and there but nothing major. I believe that if I give it a coat or two of teak oil each year it will last a long time.
