It does not seal to the can. Neat design - brilliant idea - solidly made ,but fails at the usage hurdle.
The spout is large and allows a high flow rate; good for filling cars/trucks; not good for small items like generators. It is solidly made and a neat design but the seal to the jerry cans leaks. Two cans, one spout; leaks on both cans suggesting it is the spout that is at fault. If the seal was good I would whole heartedly recommend it for vehicles.
