The book gives a facinating disertation of socialism perspectives that I have not every been able to get through texts or academic avenues. More amazing was that it was written before both world wars, which in part had paranoia of the socialists in the mix of their causes, and decades before the capitalists global dominance under the guize of democracy (reference: Kenya, French Algeirs, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Chile', Malaysia). I do understand that there are books with a polar viewpoint and plan on reading them as well but this book gave me some real understanding of one viewpoint. It bacame a little dry in the final chapters.
Perhaps Jack London's best work. The story revolves around the struggle against capitalism and fascism. The characters are compelling and the character development is convincing. This is a book that should be read by everyone to understand how corrupt capitalism truly is and how it naturally leads to fascism.
