This is a good basic documentary of the ghosts of Hollywood if you have never seen any documentaries about this subject. The time period covered is the very early early days of Hollywood from about the 1900's to the 1920's or so with a small amount of time spent on Marilyn Monroe and some other slightly later era Hollywood celebrities. A lot of time was spent on Rudolph Valentino. If you are a Rudolph Valentino fan this is the documentary for you. The haunted hotels covered were The Knickerbocker and The Roosevelt. No mention of the Biltmore hotel however which was what I was looking for myself. The famous cemetary was covered as well although not the Forrest Lawn cemetary where some stars are buried. All in all this is a good movie if you want information on stars from mostly the 1920's era or so. If you are interested in Bella Lugosi, Lon Chaney or Elizabeth Short - the Black Dahlia; however, these people or subjects are not covered at all which is why I rate this documentary as Good rather than Excellent as a lot of stars were just plain left out! This movie is okay for children as there is no blood or gore or real violence. Not overly spooky either so children will be okay to watch this movie I think.Read full review
As seen on the History Channel, I think it’s informative and entertaining.

I love the Haunted History series so I was excited to see Haunted Hollywood. It is fascinating to learn about the old movies and the actors who may still be with us, in spirit, from those by-gone days. The show is presented extremely well and it will keep you thinking and on the edge of you seat for the entire hour. I just loved it.
