This was a favorite album of mine, then cassette, and OOPS, I never bought it on CD! Why not? Don't know. With so many great songs (all are great, really), I decided recently, that I had to have again. Thought about buying from iTunes, but I like to read the lyrics, liner notes, and look at the "album" art. Found this one used, on ebay, in perfect shape for half the price of new. Done deal! It arrived today, I've already listen to it twice, and I'm really glad to own this album once again. A true classic. I believe it is a "must have", and one of the best albums ever, by a band at their absolute peak!
What can I say about this album that has not been covered before? One of the great releases of all time. All the songs are top notch. A really cohesive group effort. This and the self-titled album are must haves I think. This particular disc is an early CD issue made by Sanyo Japan. Of interest is that it features a somewhat different mix. The volume is generally lower than other releases (including the West Germany version), and two songs are a bit longer than in other versions. This CD sounds great and can be cranked without getting any "ear fatigue".
I used to have this album/record many years ago and recently heard their music again and realized what I was missing. So, that's why I got it again.......
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
brings back great teenage memories for me, plus it is just great easy listening upbeat music.my favorites are not necessarily their biggest hits, but that doesn't matter. i love the storage space a cd is so much less than the tape and my tape was getting so old i was afaid it would give out. i am still a stevie nicks fan, i used to love lindsay b. but i think he mistreated stevie so i don't like him any more. i think this cd is one of the classic must have music cd's.
rumours is a great recording of theirs, all the songs are well worth a listen. they're a great group, especially since lindsey buckingham and stevie nicks joined the group in late 1974, early 1975. rumours, I believe came out in 1975 or 1976. I grew up hearing the record of it and bought a cd of it in 2000 (which I can't find now, so I just got a new one of it and it's on it's way soon.). I think I got the cd of this in april or may 2000, and within a month, I had totally flipped over it, it's such a great recording. since 2000, forget mtv, I want my fleetwood mac.:) the dance is a great live recording of theirs and also well worth a listen, as are most of the late 70s, 80s, 90s and today's recordings of theirs.
