This DVD is absolutely amazing and typical if Nick Crane he is just so entertaining and informative one of a kind .

Overall a Great A Plus for pleasent journings from your armchair.
Nicolas crane Tours around Britain and follows in the footsteps of historical people of the past. while TV surfing on a wet afternoon, No sport and many popular repeats of prime time shows, i came across this BBC series. The episode of Robinson Crusoe Daniel Defoe, whose tour around the nation in the 1720s made East Anglia front-page news then. Nicolas Crane journeys from London to the marshes of Essex, before heading along the Suffolk coast to Norwich by bike, boat and on foot.Examines the area of how it was and is now. The whole DVD is equally as good as the first experience that introduced me to this series. Has the creditabilty and class of a BBC production.The presenter Crane, is a cross between David Attenborough and a computor geek but gives a good account in understandable ... Great British Journeys - Series 1 - Boxed set
Great example of what the BBC does best. Some 480 minutes worth of fantastic scenery covering England, Scotland and Wales, fronted by an informative and entertaining host who always packs his 'brolly'. Britain as you would like it to be and it still is if you make the effort and travel its countryside.
