The flash is noticeable more powerful than those Yongnuo YN560, YN568, Metz 50AF1, SB600 that I currently use. I find the build quality is quite good but the TTL function doesn't work well. I need to change the EV to +1 to have correct exposure. For a TTL flash, this is not the one you should buy, really. Fortunately, I use flashes for strobist work, where TTL is not necessary. The thing I concern is the power and HSS function, so I'm quite satisfied with the performance of the flash. However, the flash radiates a weird electrical sound, which makes me think that it's about to fire. That happens all the time and there is no way to stop that sound. I search in the Internet and find out that it's normal with this flash. A lot of people who own the Nissin 866 MkII also have the same problem and they all have to find the way to get used to that sound. For my case it's a bit annoying but I won't return the flash.Read full review
Just an amazing flash. I had a Nissin flash for my EOS 50D and was really impressed by not only its features, but its quality and also the fact that it was half the price of the corresponding Canon flash!! So I had no hesitation in getting the new model that talks to my EOS 5D Mk III. It has exceeded my expectations. It talks seamlessly to my camera, it was again dramatically cheaper than the corresponding Speedlite, the quality of the build is excellent, and the photos are just great. I love Canon, but I doubt I'll buy anything other than Nissin flashes in the future.
The speed light is rated all across the web as being a performer and it doesn't miss the mark. Battery life is good when compared to the Nikon line. I really enjoy the wireless features of this model, and outstanding interface. It's ability to change from vertical to landscape modes merely by tilting the body is a great feature. And although I can not review MY seller on this item, I want to STRESS that you should visit the Nissan website and pay particular attention to the FAQ section where they mention laser etched serial numbers, and how some people are placing stickers over top of the altered/refurbished models. Buyer Beware !!
This flash is well-made, reasonably priced, and easy to use. It even has features that more well-known flashes don't have like a lock so you don't inadvertently change settings.I find that even though I bought the flash as an extra off-camera unit, I wind up using it as my main flash! Way to go, Nissin!

this is a great powerful flash. It works like a charm and it has high features at low price. I got it at 250$ which is 100$ less than the price here in Greece.
