Nearly as good as Irwin, half the price
As above. I’m a welder/fabricator and use vice grips everyday. Irwin is king, but these Stanley grips are good quality and half the price. I think Stanley own Irwin so the engineering/design is probably very similar.

mechanical good but let down by the surface finish.
General mechanical construction is good but my item arrived with some surface rust suggesting the plated finish is not as good as it could be. Time will tell how the finish will survive over the tools lifetime.
