a bit easy job.
I needed a long enough drill bit to establish a pilot hole through a cavity wall prior to use a core bit. Using a long bit enables the user one to drill a pilot hole through the cavity to the other side. I used the 8mm bit in a standard variable-speed rotary hammer drill for the job. The secret is to let the drill bit do the work and not force it. This drill made light work of penetrating the pebble dash, scratch coat, brick, (cavity) brick, hard cement render. Inspection of the drill bit at the end of the job showed no signs of undue wear. I have had these size drill bits before. I guess I spent much more money. These drill bits are very good but not excellent. They are great to be used a few times. Worth the money
