Having devoted my 77 years to the mystic quest, studying all the world literature ... Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, Christian, Jewish and others ... this superlative book that virtually introduced Kundalini to the world, for previously it was a secret science ... contains the finest descriptions of the highest mystic condition; which actually is the same for all religions and unaffiliated spiritual seekers. What he wrote is virtually impossible to write. Gopi Krishna was a man of astonishing concentration. He wrote honestly of his ghastly travails on this path, because he didn't have the protections of a Teacher. If you live with a yearning for the substance of being ... i will tell you that this book carried me across decades ... the excitement, the thrill, the absolute authenticity ... the command of his subject. When it was too hard ... i would have stayed the course anyhow, but this book made it impossible to doubt. I reject the psychological commentary that was added long after his death and by no means with his permission.
