Cross-threads too easily
Like the original cap, this is difficult to put on without cross-threading. I think the fault is mostly with the fuel tank itself though, as there are two flat sides to the spout, making the male thread into two C shaped segments. The cap is quite stiff to put on so I expect that in time it will cracking around the top as I am likely to over-tighten it (which is what led to this replacement). This seems to be a design fault with the Mountfield mower, rather than with the cap itself.Like the original cap, this is difficult to put on without cross-threading.
