I purchased this item for use in another country, and the seller answered all my questions and gave me a link to the item I needed to adapt the power plug to the outlet type my country uses. The item shipped fast and was in great condition. I would buy from this seller again. Thank you!

Netgear D7000 bought as a backup/spare now my main device July 2020

Stylish design with 4 GB LAN a WAN and Telephone port(s) and 2 USB 3.0.(side mounted)The GUI is probably the only let down as it’s very bland. Was updated to the latest FW and became more stable as it was freezing during setup. It performs well compared to the ac2000 Modem/Router from ISP. The D7000 is slightly slower. But a perfect replacement as I’ve had 4 ISP device when 2 failed one after the other in 3 years(I keep 2 I bought pre-owned spare)The ISP M/Router is now not as impressive as service restructuring puts broadband speed in line with the package I’m on, it was 80/20 now it’s 65/20 at 400m. However the Netgear D7000 is working perfectly. Though line stats are more basic and limited but that info is more for techies. Overall a stylish design currently supported as of July 2020. ...

  • Most critical review

Disappointed with performance but perhaps mislead by reviews

Was difficult to setup. All the reviews suggested it was plug and play is incorrect. Had to get detailed setup information from ISP website before it would work. Reviews suggested that it was a lot quicker than the basic router supplied by ISP however I have not noticed any performance improvement. Signal strength has improved but this was not an issue for me previously. Has a lot more features so still working though them to see if I can get better performance! Overall a bit disappointing!

  • Modem router or just router, the choice is yours.

It's stable, reasonably easy to connect to isp's but not as long range as I had hoped. The main benefit of this, above the isp's freebie modem routers is that it can handle 32 devices on the 2.4ghz frequency and 5ghz. My EE modem routers becomes unreliable if I connect 12 devices on 2.4ghhz it's ok on 5ghz but then the range is poor. A big plus with the D7000 over the R7000 is that it will also act as just a router if you prefer.

  • Salvation using Quirky A1 kit...

This is a great bit of kit and I am very pleased with it. I had problems with the generic basic modem routers sent by my ISP so looked into options from there. This design is a bit quirky but works so well. I used this with a plug in Netgear MESH extender for upstairs. Together it makes a great setup and sorted the drops and bottlenecks I was getting continuously I used a free online meter (Netspot) to review the % of signal received with the old router, the new router they had sent me, and this router (in various positions too). This router, for my set up, improved my received wifi by about 15% of available signal, plus working on dual band ac. Also, I suspect my overall download capability via copper is improved too from my speed tests with ADSL / ADSL2 / ADSL2+ / VDSL modes I was able ...

  • Netgear modem router

Thr router set itself up to my Sky fibre account and I was able to replace my Sky Q hub. The 5GHz speed is good if you have devices using 11ac wifi. The coverage is still a bit weak at the far corner of the house so I still have a booster set up there.
