Selfset Rat Trap
This type of trap is exceedingly effective, and also easy to set - just make sure you secure the bait securely to the bait points lift the catch bar over so it flips the setting bar over. Be careful or it'll have your fingers off like Arkright's till in Open All Hours. The sharp spikes stop the catch escaping and make sure it's dead and killed as humanely as possible, and far better than poison where they crawl away and die slowly, then stink like whatsit!This type of trap is exceedingly effective, and also easy to set - just make sure you secure the bait securely to the bait points lift the catch bar over so it flips the setting bar over. Metal rat trap
I bought a couple of these I was impressed with the quality. They look like tried and tested old-fashioned style trap. however I haven't actually caught a rat although they have been tripped a few times. I found one upside down in the garden where the rat had managed to get free . Another I tied off so it couldnt escape with it. This one was covered in blood but no rat. so either the rats where I live are huge or maybe these traps aren't strong enough to kill them or trap them. I personally think they could do with a more powerful spring than they would be perfect.I bought a couple of these I was impressed with the quality.
