no use for micro soldering
the shape and size of the tips makes it useless for use in micro soldering unless the component that you are dealing with is on its own with a massive free area surrounding it and no other components near by, not even suitable for picking up a component successfully, you need to place the component with tweezers first. Im very inexperienced at soldering and purchased these to solve the problem of mounting micro components, small caps and resistors but was disappointed completely. took a file to the tips to enable component pick up as they meet with strange angles , not sure if changing the tips with a different style is an option, but still can't get close to fitting or removing them when other components are within an inch or so of the target.the shape and size of the tips makes it useless for use in micro soldering unless the component that you are dealing with is on its own with a massive free area surrounding it and no other components near by, not even suitable for picking up a component successfully, you need to place the component with tweezers first.
