TinySA. So impressed. Able to get to the bottom of my UK Smart Meter issues ( Mast not where I thought it was! and subsequent transmitter positioning. Easy to see smart data TX&RX at 422MHz. Well pleased. Thanks

Excellent Spectrum Analyser and signal generator with many uses.

In this small package and for a reasonable price is a Spectrum Analyser [I have two] that matches my full size unit that costs over £2000. An excellent display, and for its size, accurate too. A plus for this unit is that it also doubles as a signal generator. Not explored that function as yet but a useful one. Easily charged and/or powered using power block. I also have someone elses' small Spectrum Analyser costing around £200 and this knocks spots off it on display, size, frequency coverage. Regarding the cost of this little unit it's worth every penny and represents good value indeed. The image illustrates off air display of Airwave Comms; Top: Handsets, Bottom: Base Stations.

  • Good product!

Small, but very versatile spectrum analyzer. All self-tests completed OK. An included signal generator is a great bonus. The inputs are very sensitive for damage due to static electricity and too high input power. A great solution to this is to always use an external attenuator (e.g. 10dB) connected to the inputs. It will remove any static electricity, an protect against input power up to 10x the maximal rating. Every ham should have one of these, as well as other people into RF.

  • "Hand held" says it all!

Being used to a traditional SA, having an inexpensive SA to carry on a job or experiment with in a way I would not use lab grade equipment has been great!! Be sure to order 10 and 20dB SMA attenuators so strong out of band signals don't wipe out the TinySA just as you start to enjoy it. Also discharge any coax / antennas you may connect to it as well. It is easily sensitive enough to pick up the local oscillator of unshielded superhet radios, something I was not expecting! Explore and enjoy what you can do with it!

  • Astonishing price-performance in a compact unit

Absolutely amazing little piece of kit, perfect for testing transmitters like car key fobs, walkie talkies etc also EMC pre compliance testing and monitoring the band space for wireless microphones/IEMs. Astonishing price-performance in a compact unit, if you mess with RF at all then get one.
