Good, but difficult to set up without an analyser...
I managed to get this to match lower than 1.5 on several bands using a Rigexpert antenna analyser, but if you didn’t have something like that you’d probably struggle to get the SWR to something useable. Just measuring the length left me at 5 or worse in many cases. I can imagine using this outdoors but it’d be hard work to get the tuning right. An alternating product, “wonder whip” is conceptually similar product (end fed, base loaded, multi-band, tuneable) and that’s much easier to tune up, although can’t handle as much power output. Great under certain conditions
This antenna needs a good ground plane to work well. Remember that the actual radiator element is fairly short and it's no match for a resonant length antenna. A good compromise antenna for portable or mobile use with these restrictions in mind.
