Lovely light little lens that is sharp and has good auto focus
Lovely light little lens that is sharp and has good auto focus. For the price it is a no brainer. Although I have said it is not durable, it has a metal lens mount and what I would call reasonable build quality. It is only not durable compared to much more expensive lenses. I have had no problems with reliability so maybe I'm being a bit harsh.

Excellent everyday lens
Bought this to minimise size of my Sony camera. Most ff lenses are clunky, but not this one. Fits nice and flush, not taking up too much room in my bag. IQ is first class for the money, the the focal length perfect for everyday photography.

Light, small, sharp & good autofocus
I was undecided between this and the Sony equivalent at twice the price. This got great reviews and I'm happy to say that I would agree - it's an excellent lens, sharp and contrasty without being too 'brittle'. The autofocus works perfectly and it's very small and light, which is why I bought it. My previous career as a professional industrial photographer means I like light weight for travel but also great quality for the travel work I now do with Sony 7 series cameras. It's only been a short while and I might re-visit this after an extended trip later in the year, but so far, so good!I was undecided between this and the Sony equivalent at twice the price. Fantastic lens
I feel like starting with “For it’s price...” isn’t really fair to the lens. Because it’s actually a fantastic lens that’s great to be an everyday carry around option. Build quality wise, it doesn’t give you the sturdy feel due to the plastic nature of the material. But the merit would be its lightweight. I pair this with the A7iii, and this combo makes carrying the camera out everyday a breeze and alongside with the card reader. I now have the ability to take fantastic photo everyday without breaking my back now. I feel like starting with “For it’s price...” isn’t really fair to the lens.
