    Love Is the Song We Sing

    This CD box set is a compilation of San Francisco rock back when the music meant something and actually mattered. It has been said that '60s music, much of it out of print and all but ignored for years, was the first music defined by a generation that, in turn, defined both the counterculture and a generation. This set has some of the better songs from groups of the era, as well as obscure groups and songs you may never have heard before. Unfortunately, it also has some that were not that listenable then and have not stood the test of time. The set could have been more inclusive of the genre at the expense of "throw-away" songs no one would miss. There was so much more to the San Francisco Sound--which included progressive jazz, rhythm and blues, folk, and ...

    San Francisco Nuggets 1965-1970

    San Francisco Nuggets: Love is the Song We Sing is a superb compilation of San Francisco folk garage and psych songs released from 1965 to 1970. I already had a lot of these songs on other CDs but what sets this box set apart is the many songs that are more obscure. I don't think there is bad song in the whole set.

    4 CD's with a perfect mix of power flower San Francisco's band from the 70's ! Some songs are pure gold even some one are a bit weak, it is a great package and very interesting and well printing book with a lot details. You can buy it if you love those years songs !
