    An absolute necessity for those who cannot freehand even slices....

    Finally, a sturdy, slicing assist tool for even slices of green tomato, onion, potato, eggplant (small long ones) and spam to accommodate my indoor grill ! I flipped the wood block over and it held a fist sized tomato for my sandwiches and the things I wanted to completely slice through. . I did rub down the wooden block with olive oil first to keep it from absorbing odors et al and a fold of wax paper.. A little expensive, but I will get many years of use from this. Wish I had found it years ago! Much easier to get the spam evenly crisp on my indoor GF grill for my SLT's . Arrived sooner than expected.

    More than first glance

    This small unassuming little kitchen gadget is a superb tool designed to do one thing well and it does that superbly - cutting potatoes. But if you hold it on your hands and turn it over and rotate it, you may see the possibility to use it to cut a sub roll for bruschetta and it does celery and carrots too. You need one of these. And so does your sister for stocking stuffer at Christmas.
