About this product

Product Information

Based on the award-winning book by David Kirk, Miss Spider's Tea Party offers young children eight games that encourage cognitive thinking skills. Miss Spider is featured inviting her insect friends to a tea party, which they cannot attend until their posed dilemmas are solved. Choosing the order of invite, children help characters like Grampy Spider and Mr. Ant solve their problem and attend the tea party.

Skill levels of easy, medium, and hard can be chosen to suit age appropriateness and the variety of games include Firefly Concentration, Find the Butterflies, Grampy Spider's Picture Perfect, Assemble the Cricket Band, Caterpillar and Moth Obstacle Course, Beetle's River Crossing, Mr. Ant's Maze, and the Bee Game. The activities in each game are essentially matching and memorization oriented with the exception of Find the Butterflies in which the object is to find butterflies hidden within different scenes. Caterpillar and Moth Obstacle Course, and Mr. Ant's Maze are both maze-type games, while Beetle's River Crossing is similar to Frogger.

Miss Spider and the other characters exchange rhyming dialogue and then give instructions for each game. The invitations are accepted when all eight games are finished. The game ends as credits roll over footage of Miss Spider's tea party with all her friends in attendance as she extends one last invitation to the child to play again.

  • Miss Spider game

I bought this game for my 4 yr old cousin. Her older sister had this game and loved it so much she wore it out; so I had to buy a new copy. I like this game because it is designed for beginners. Although the 4 year old does have some problems working the controller she is able to comprehend and follow along with the challenges. She doesn't really care whether she wins the game she just wants to not feel left out when the older kids are playing, but in this case it is easy enough for her to win as well and gives her a sense of triumph. The older sister still enjoys playing it too and now they sometimes argue over whose turn it is!

  • Nice for my toddler

Finally, a game that is educational, and simple enough for a toddler. My daughter is 3 and we sit with her and play this game once or twice a week. She has greatly improved her matching skills, and has a fun time with her parents. She does have some difficulty working the controls (too many buttons), but she points, we move, she clicks, and it works out nicely.

  • Miss Spider Tea Party Play Station Game

I bought this game for my daughter's 3rd birthday. She LOVES Miss Spider the show, so I thought she would enjoy this as well. This game is so good for her age with teaching her numbers, counting, etc. It even has a memory game which she loves. We have to help her with the controller, since she's never played play station before, but she caught on quickly. I would recommend this game for your little ones!! It almost takes me back to INTELEVISION days when we played frog bog. FUN!!

  • Miss Spider's tea party game

this is a good game for the little ones my 5 year old has fun with this and its not too comlicated, it may be to easy for someone a bit older.
