    Does what it says, and leaves a beautiful finish

    Briwax was recommended by the supplier of new oak bannister. Brilliant finish, used Briwax Original was on top, got professional result. Base rail on photo shows untreated comparison.

    Can alter the colour of wood?

    Happy overall. Easy to apply and good coverage. I used it on pine chest that had been sandblasted to get rid of the paint and the wood was quite white and grain raised. I thought the sanding sealer was neutral in colour but it turned the pine quite 'golden' - ok if you're painting but not if you're waxing and not happy with colour....
