Very good on light soil and narrow posts
Engine starts first time every time and the machine is capable of driving posts very quickly. Our land is very sandy and I had no proble driving 3" round posts. It won't drive into stoney ground - even my tractor mounted post driver has difficulty with that - and it's not easy to keep the posts vertical but with practice and frequent checks with a spirit level it's possible to turn in a respectable job. So far, I've driven 115 posts without a hitch but over 200 more to go!Engine starts first time every time and the machine is capable of driving posts very quickly. Well made, but only good for tree stakes/clip fence stye products.
Looks well made and the engine starts easily, especially when warm - one pull every time. However although this machine is eager to please it would not knock my 3inch posts in past the sharpened ends. I live on a farm and needed to do a run of field repairs but alas had to give up after six posts (tried in various locations). Went to my local tool hire shop and hired a rhino for the weekend - 52 posts in a day, no problems at all, so no issues with hard ground. I would recommend this product for driving tree stales or clip-fence etc. as it's light and would be better than the heavier hire machine, far cheaper too.........Looks well made and the engine starts easily, especially when warm - one pull every time. Simple enough Instructions to understand if you use petrol products. The fuel mix is easy with the fuel mixer bottle. On my ground the soil is sandy but dense. Damp from rain. Not rocky. Started the machine and left it to warm up for 5 minutes then took a 75 mm diameter post 1800mm tall and tried it pulling down on handles letting the machine do most of the work. The post did go in but very slowly. It is tiring using it this way. I then got a step ladder which allowed me to push down using body weight and this was very effective for the remainder of the 600mm. Much less effort than a sledge hammer! I haven’t tried it yet on the 30 posts I have to put in but if they all go in like the first one I will be delighted ! Super fast delivery came in pvc carry box which is brilliant for storage of the driver, simple instructions comes with a mixing bottle for the fuel/oil. Mixed the fuel added, started first time drove around 50 3 inc wooden posts into very difficult clay ground no problem makes light work of the job just a great machine if you have horses like me then you definitely need one
