It is a very cute movie where the cat was helping this person do things but at first didn't want to was unsure about it. Finally agreed to. This person had to make sure the cat had the collar at all times.

Pros: Cute cat, familiar faces like Ken Berry, Sandy Duncan, McLean Stevenson, Harry Morgan, Alan Young, Roddy McDowell, and Ronnie Schell. Amusing storyline. Cons: None. This purely goofy Walt Disney film from the sixties provides some pretty good laughs. It's a blast from the past! Think of a sophisticated alien life form forced to land on planet earth - then imagine that the stranded alien is a cat! That's the premise for this aptly titled movie. The special effects are pretty good for some 40 years ago, and in keeping with Disney tradition, once again an animal provides the star staying power to keep the audience interested and entertained. This is a family, G-rated movie but I did find it distasteful that McLean Stevenson's character was obsessed with sports, gambling, beer, and cigars. Of course, most of that figured into the film and provided some laughs but I always frown on those things included in family entertainment. However, that's mild - or actually, nothing - compared to the contents of today's movies! I would, however, recommend this movie to all ages for pure fantasy and old-fashioned entertainment. I think kids will like it especially. Adults will find some of the military jokes amusing. Hint: watch for the very funny round of salutes when officers try to get into the same jeep. And for those of us who own and love cats, we already know they are superior to us, so maybe this isn't so far-fetched afterall!Read full review

I have to say this is a fun family movie. I remember watching it when I was alot younger, and loved the smart cat just shaking his head at are world leaders trying to explain things. If you would of asked me what I though of this as a kid I would of told you I love cats, and this movie has something to offer me, Granted everyone would love to have there own talking cat, that is extremely smart. But seeing this as I am older, and have a cat as a pet. This is a funny movie that tries hard not to take itself to serious. Granted this is a sweet family film and then kinda gets compacted with alot of ridiculas-ness but it sure is disney family fun at its best. Got to say this is still a great movie to watch and have a good time.
