Have had this cooker for years and needed a new gasket .Looked on e bay found it and it works properly again, it was easy to obtain and price was competitive .Would recommend .

What can you say about a new seal for one's pressure cooker? You do need to replace it every now and then as the rubber ages and loses its elasticity and hardens so I hope that this seal will be as durable as the ones I've bought over the 30 years I've had my pressure cooker.. Easy to use? Well, just take the old one out - which you probably do every time you use the cooker - and put the new one in. Good value? Good quality Prestige pressure cooker spare gasket
I bought this for a friend of mine and according to her this gasket fits her old prestige pressure cooker quite well( nearly 50 years old) and of good quality. Would recommend this gasket without any reservation. Free postage and received it within a week.

Slighlty smaller diameter than the original
When I fitted this gasket seal to my 50 year old Prestige High Dome pressure cooker, it was of a slightly smaller diameter than the one I removed (the third replacement) and I was suspicious that it was a 'clone'. However, I could not prove that. It works OK and may swell over time to fit better.

Poor fit
This is the second gasket I have had to order.the first fitted ok from the package. On its first use it shrunk so that it drops out of the lid when trying to put the lid on.this product did exactly the same. There needs to be better quality control from Prestige and/or a change in formulation. I do not plan on replacing this time I will put up with the inconvenience.
