    LC400H is a great addition to my quiver for SoCal inshore fishing

    I've got two other Lexa reels (300 and 400) and use them both regularly. Reliable and good value. I'm inshore fishing in the Los Angeles area. Depths frequently exceed 100', sometimes to 300'+ for rockfish. This line counter model of the Lexa 400 was bought to help with the deeper fishing. So far I am impressed. It fishes like the normal 400 with little extra drag from the line counter. Casting is decent, OK for normal shallower water bass fishing. The line counter is reasonably accurate, within 5% or so but will depend on line diameter on the spool as it measures spool revolutions, not the line directly. Recommended for deeper water and probably for trolling later in the season when the pelagics arrive.

    A very good product!

    I am a fishing guide in Southern Oregon. This is a highly dependable reel with a very decent drag system which is available at a decent price. I also use several of the Diawa Lexa LC 300's for my guide service. They are very light and palm-sized. Perfect for estuary salmon trolling

    Lexa LC400 handles large Salmon, Lake Trout, Muskie & Northern Pike

    The Lexa 400LC is a great reel for large freshwater fish.At 25lb, the drag is strong smooth and reliable. The line counter is reliable and consistent.The handle has nice size paddle knobs and good length.The clicker is nice and loud when engaged and silent when not.The reel has a quality paint job that stands up well to being knocked around.Overall, the fit and finish is good.The reel is a very reliable fishing tool that is a pleasure to fish with.

    Excellent drag system

    Delivery was way ahead of date promised. Spooled it up with 40 lb braid and installed it on my 9' med fenwick. Used it on the niagara river for the first time and landed a 19 lb lake trout and 2 smaller rainbows. Day later hooked a 23 lb salmon and it was a good thing that I had plenty of line an the spool never worried about getting spooled. Drag performed flawless. Reel feels good in my hand. Would highly recommend this reel.
