Another brilliant Ann Rule Book!
I live in Washington state and many of Ann Rule's books are about events that have happened in the Northwest. Smoke, Mirrors, and Murder explores several local cases as well as some from other parts of the country. I especially enjoy her "Crime Files" books that profile more than one story. This book does a good job in giving the reader a look into cases that happened decades ago as well as one from only a couple years ago. The author does a superior job in stating the facts of these cases, as they transpired in court proceedings, and also adds a bit of her own experienced opinion where appropriate. Smoke, Mirrors and Murder by Ann Rule (2007)
Ann Rule has always been one of my favourite writers. She has a knack for putting you there. You are reliving the horror of the victims, the atrocities and background of the perpetrator(s) and the determination and skillfulness of the law enforcement. I read this book in 3 days and it was hard putting it down at anytime. It's been the same with most of her books. Her background in law enforcement definately gives her another dimension in her writing. Bought it - read it - loved it!Ann Rule has always been one of my favourite writers. She has a knack for putting you there. You are reliving the horror of the victims, the atrocities and background of the perpetrator(s) and the determination and skillfulness of the law enforcement. Another great Ann Rule thriller
Another of Ann Rule's murder, mystery book. I couldn't put it down. Most of the cases were from years ago, but remind me of the present eraser cases. Very well written. I bought on ebay and will resale it after my mom reads it also!
