About this product

Product Information

Far from Earth two sister planets, Sainte Anne and Sainte Croix, circle each other. It is said that a race of shapeshifting aliens once lived here, only to become extinct when human colonists arrived. But one man believes they still exist, somewhere out in the wilderness. In THE FIFTH HEAD OF CERBERUS, Gene Wolfe brilliantly interweaves three tales: a scientist's son's gradual discovery of the bizarre secret of his heritage; a young man's mythic dreamquest for his darker half; the mystifying chronicle of an anthropologist's seemingly-arbitrary imprisonment. Gradually, a mesmerising pattern emerges.

Fast delivery of this amazing collection of 7 Monica Edwards 1st edition books. Given that they are all in, as described, great condition with mylar-protected dust jackets and environmentally friendly highly safeguarded packaging with hand-signed card, I can't imagine anything better value for money. With cheap postage & amazingly low purchase price, I have never had such an enjoyable shopping experience & I have had many! Very highly recommended seller who I would buy from again in a heartbeat.

The two books were nicely packaged and even bubble-wrapped as well! It shipped pretty fast and since it was coming overseas I expected it to take more than two weeks or so to get here, but not six days! The two books came exactly as they were shown in the pictures. As a sucker for Roman history, this was a great and unique find! I managed to a pair of books like this in Abebooks with the mylar too, but someone bought it before I did, so I'm glad I had the chance to buy this. Awesome seller.

I'm not the best at writing reviews but if you go on the 'Goodreads' website, you will see some great reviews of this book. Gene Wolfe is an absolute master story teller and describes his characters with indescribable depth, to the point where he can fill half a page on the smallest detail. There are three stories in the book that are all someway connected, but so different from the last. It's pure science fiction from the master.
