You pay for what you get. This was cheap to buy and it feels it..it does feel sturdy to be fair and safe. The brakes need quite some power to put them on and there is quite a reach from handle to brake to unlock it. This maybe similar in other similar walkers.. its a good 55cm wide at the outside ( not 53). Oh and there was £10 vat to pay
