It's possible to print one-off copies of books these days, so having an online only version is of little practical use. You need the book in front of you when doing a job, so this online version requires having an expensive iPad or laptop in a dirty workshop or having to print off page after page in order to have the information to hand. Whoever decided this as a viable alternative to a book has clearly never actually worked on a car themselves!
