About this product

Product Information

As the story goes, reports of missing people and sightings of dog-like monsters have come out of Raccoon Forest. Bravo Team was sent in to check out the situation but after their helicopter crashed all contact was lost. You and your comrades, Alpha Team, are then sent in to investigate. Soon after your helicopter lands the team is attacked, some of which is shown in full-motion video. Out of fear the helicopter pilot takes off leaving the whole team behind. Some of the Alpha Team members are killed while the team flees for cover. Three of you escape into a nearby mansion that turns out to be filled with deadly creatures. At this point you take control of one of two available characters.

Your choices are Chris Redfield, a former member of the Air Force who hopes to prove himself to the team quickly, and Jill Valentine, a master at picking locks who has already rescued many other team members from danger. Chris can take more damage but Jill can hold two more items. Some of the other main characters found in the game include Barry Burton, weapons expert and Chris Redfield's old friend; Albert Wesker, leader of Alpha Team and founder of the Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S. unit; and Rebecca Chambers, the youngest member of the team and an expert in first aid.

While moving through the mansion the view automatically switches between fixed camera angles, but is always from a third-person perspective. The mansion is filled with puzzles and monsters, the majority of which are zombies. Players will need to either avoid the enemies or eliminate them while searching for clues, keys and various other items as they unlock the many secrets of the mansion.

I'm not waiting a week to tell you that I am never ordering from this vendor again. Zero customer service, when I try to contact its not delivered. I appreciate the fact the game came quickly however the game though described as "very good" in condition didn't run in my Xbox and no matter what I did it will not read it. It's only 3 dollars but if it is advertised as very good then it should be so. Safe to say I am very disappointed in this vendor and the product that I payed for.

This item came lightning fast and bundled with another item. Shipping cost were phenomenal and was packaged very well. The condition seemed to exceed the description so these folks are truly honest. Very friendly with great communication. This seller is worthy of my business again.

A good price for a cool PSP game, shipped promptly and packaged well. However, the UMD shell arrived cracked so the item wasn't exactly in good condition. The disc itself was fine. Rather than return the item, the seller offered a refund directly. I used the refund to buy some replacement UMD shells and got it working. The replacement UMD shells cost about as much as the item itself. But the seller did the right thing without hesitation, so they have my thanks. Thank you!

  • Best Saturn Title Ever...!!!

This game is amazing. The Sega Saturn never seen a more beautiful title aside from Nights into Dreams. With stunning graphics, a great story, and amazing sound effects, it makes it a must have for any Sega Saturn owner. The only downfall is the character diologue sounds way more scripted than it should. At times, it can be very comical and hilarious. But over all, it is one great game. Capcom has always made great titles, and the entire Resident Evil Series is no exception. This release of the original is the best yet, with improved graphics which add even more detail to character models and the addition of the battle mode mini game, this title will keep you coming back for years to come.

  • ITCHY, TASTY *****RATING

The Japan sega saturn version offers a little more blood and gore. Compared to it's American toned down playstation cousin . This game works great on pc emulators. If you don't have a japan sega saturn console. The graphics are a little less smooth then playstation but still delivers that same great feel. With new story line twist and boss fights this game will leave you wanting to play when ever you can. All audio is in english with Japan subtitles.Making it easy to play for those of us who don't speak Japanese. Instruction manuals offer new anime artwork and full character bio's. ***** rating hardcore resident evil/ bio hazard gamers only!

  • Evil moves to the Sega Saturn

The Resident Evil series is one of my all time favorites. The first game I played in the series was Resident Evil 2 for the Playstation, and for the three of you out there who haven't played it, it's a must. Resident Evil for the Saturn is more for the hardcore fan of the series than a casual gamer. Directors Cut for the Playstation is far more easily obtained, is cheaper, and many claim is overall the better game since it has many features the original did not(see SteveMV's breakdown of the two games). Saturn exclusives are an unlockable battle mode after you beat the game, new alternate costumes(Chris Redfield's is awesome), a new B.O.W(a reskinned hunter), among others. The fact is this, if you already have a version of Resident Evil for the Playstation or the REmake for Gamecube, this ...

  • Survival Horror At Its Best

Everyone is familiar with this series. Capcom does it again with another hit. The only thing that I disliked, was the voice acting; however, I found it rather amusing at times(Barry: What is this?! Jill: What is it? Barry: Blood. I hope this isn't Chris' blood. Jill, see if you can find anything). See what I mean? Lol. I like the camera angles and the eerie music the game has to offer. The Saturn version has an Battle Mode option after you beat the game. Battle mode was pretty cool. Resident Evil wasn't a bad game for its time. I actually enjoyed watching my friends play it before I owned and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Beating this game shouldn't be a problem if you manage your time wisely(you will be rewarded) and conserve your ammo. Vanquishing the Tyrant, Giant Plant, ...
