Dieses ASRock 990FX Extreme3, AM3+ (plus), AMD Motherboard ist ein System mit dem Sockel AM3plus beziehungsweise AM3 und unterstützt viele Prozessoren der Sempron-, Phenom-2- sowie der Athlon-2-Serie von AMD. So weist dieses ASRock Motherboard im Formfaktor ATX Abmessungen von 30,5x21,8 cm auf und unterstützt unter anderem die Technologien Hyper-Transport 3.0, Untied-Overclocking, Cool 'n' Quiet von AMD sowie 8-Core-CPUs. Auf diesem AM3plus-Motherboard ist auf der Northbridge der Chipsatz AMD 990FX und auf der Southbridge der Chipsatz AMD B950 integriert. Der Front-Side-Bus dieses Systems taktet mit 2600 MHz, was für die Leistungsfähigkeit dieses Mainboards spricht. Zudem kann das ASRock 990FX Extreme3 mit bis zu 32 GB Arbeitsspeicher versehen werden. Möglich ist dies durch die vier DIMM-Bänke für DDR4-2100-, DDR3-1866-, DDR3-1800-, DDR3-1600-, DDR3-1333-, DDR3-1066- sowie DDR3-800-Module. Das 32-MB-BIOS mit GUI-Support unterstützt unter anderem Plug and play. Dies erleichtert die Bedienung dieses Mainboards. Darüber hinaus bietet das ASRock Motherboard eine Audiokomponente mit 7.1-Kanal-Sound und SPDIF-Ausgängen sowie ein Gigabit LAN mit 10/100/1000 Mb/s und RJ-45-Port für das Netzwerk. Die Vielzahl der Schnittstellen unterstreicht die Vielseitigkeit dieses Mainboards. Anschlussseitig ist dieses AM3plus-Motherboard mit einer SATA3-Schnittstelle mit 6 Gb/s für bis zu fünf Geräte ausgestattet.     Its a budget motherboard, with lot of potential. It supports Nvidia SLI at full bandwidth & handles DDR3 2133mhz with ease. Can go up to 2400mhz with proper cooling. Let's not mention you have the 990fx chipset in the list, which makes it a real grab for the price! Installed on it an FX6300 , overclocked to 4.5ghz stable at aprox 1.43V with no issues. I must mention that this processor is a real power horse as well, for today latest games titles One drawback I must mention is the poor 4+1 digi power. If you push the board further it will throttle & changes frequency of the processor frequently. Anyway,for the benefits it has included & the price, I simply highly recommend this motherboard !
