    A Priest and Sister Guiding a Congregation and Solving Cases in Chicago

    The Father Dowling Mysteries DVD has over 10 hours of viewing time. Father Frank Dowling (Tom Bosley) and Sister Stephanie "Steve" Oskowski, guides a congregation in the ways of good. While doing so they also track down Chicago's agents of evil. While at home housekeeper Marie (Mary Wickes) looks after the priest, and gets hooked up in a little mystery herself. If you like crime solving drama TV series, then I recommend this. The Special Features are: Original Episode Promos.

    A great little mystery series!

    I remember this TV show from the late 1980s thru 1990 and never missed it! Since I am Catholic, this show has a familiar story line that is easy for me to follow as many scenes are filmed in a Catholic church. Their depiction is mostly true to form. And I tend to like mysteries. I suspect that "Murder She Wrote" would also be in the same category of TV series. Fr. Dowling is most engaging and I also like Tracy Nelson as Sister "Steve." She is a great fit for the role. Being from the "neighborhood" before entering the convent makes her perfect for a street-wise nun who helps the police solve crimes of all types. It may be a bit far fetched, but it sure does make for great entertainment without the trash associated with current TV series. I'd say it is a bit more family friendly. This ...

    Gentle but interesting mysteries

    I LOVE these gentle cozy mysteries. I will miss the characters that seem like friends. There is humor herre, as well as humanity. I wish that the series had lasted longer. They are so much better than the blood and gore we are handed now.

    This is one of the Best TV series. I love it. I wished they had made more but it wouldn't be the same with out the original people. I plan on buying the rest of the series. Wish they would have more TV shows like this-- Thank You--

    great value for a entertaining show

    fun show, sharper clear picture than the uploads on you tube which are taken from peoples old vhs tapes which were obviously played to death. A good value for a short lived, but entertaining show.
