Good way to expand a home wired or unwired network eg to add printers, back up devices, or if you want to add extra PCs etc.. expand the number of wired connections from router. Handy that this device also indicates connection type with the front Leds eg 10/100 or 1000. This is a good device if you need 7 extra network points, small, reliable, unmanaged switch..power up, plug in and it does the rest I am using CAT5E and still obtaining the 1000 connection with this device.

The quality seems to be on a par with my old Netgear 10/100 hubs - I've had them since 1999! Build quality is great on the TP-Link switch. It's unmanaged but if you're just looking for plug and play then this is ideal. I'm also wall mounting it. It has a couple of holes on the back to enabled you to do this. I'm using it for networking my home in combination with my gigabit router. Recommended!

A reasonably priced product that appears to be well made and has so far performed as expected. Rather difficult to get too excited over a basic piece of kit that does its job. Few things are perfect, hence 4 star rating.

Not technically minded really so this appealed to me because of its simplicity, no configuring etc...

Ideal for creating a small network, or use it like me, as a desktop hub for linking 2 desktops, 1 apple mac. an 8gb NAT and up to 3 laptops to a gigabit network. Infinitely faster than wireless, and more manageable.
