If you were told about a wonderful cabin in the woods and asked if you'd like to go see it; and said: "Yes.". You have ideas of everything you'd see. When you got there everything was really nice with one exception. The basement and foundation were there for the cabin but nothing else had been built. There were no walls, floors, windows, no roof. Only the basement walls and floor. Really,,, no cabin. This movie had an atmosphere that would have fit many stories. The actors were very good, were well known, and outstanding. The camera work and sets were great. The sound was excellent, though I wasn't a fan of a lot of the music. The problems were: The story was emaciated. There was no real script with substance, The characters were mostly stick figures. Plot: An insignificant man- of no importance- is told to get out of bed to help a vigilante group catch a killer. Nobody tells him his purpose to the group and he never has any idea why he's there. On his bumbling sojourn, through the night, he meets many unusual characters. The vigilantes break into smaller groups because of disagreements. Though they don't really understand what the disagreements are/were. Major emotional distress is forgotten in the blink of an eye. I realize I didn't tell you much about the story. But that's because there wasn't one. This is what the film was about. I guess the moral was: Groups breed paranoia, and hate. While they expect allegiance and participation. And when you have major emotional problems with friends and significant others... well, in a wink of the eye, they'll be forgotten like you have amnesia.Read full review

"Life," said Forrest Gump's mother, "is like a box of chocolates: you never know what your're going to get." Woody Allen's movies are much the same, except I would add, "and they're all good."

The humor is so subtle, i didn't start getting it until 1/3 of the way through it. The style is Kafka-esque, so it looks serious, but it's total parody. I'd rank it about even with Zelig.
