Great sound, better noise cancellation out there
Although the sound is excellent, the noise cancelling is not on par with Sony or Bose. They do not go very loud.

Sennhieser PXC450
The pxc450 are Sennheisers premium travel headphones. I have the pxc350 as well which are excellent but the 450,s have the same quality sound but add extra comfort and tal through feature (very helpfull when the crew are serveing the drinks or travelling with someone who wants to chat) saves turning off or removeing them. As to the sound they clearly are premium headphones with a crystal clear sound and concise vocals with clear and vibrant instruments..The bass can be a little light at times which to me is no bad thing. Easy to forget when listning to your favourite music that you are wearing them as so comfortable and the sound so envelopeing. Now the noise cancelling...I have owned the bose h/phones before probably their closest rivals...The bose system is i find a little ... The pxc450 are Sennheisers premium travel headphones. The build of the pxc450,s is far superior to the bose..they have a 2 year garruntee are sturdier built and just as comfortable...my bose set broke at a well know point (lots of comments on net re this) a small plastic joint between the headband and the ear piece..easy to replace as held by a number of screws BUT bose do not repair their headphones they will sell you a replacement set a little bit below shop price think it was around 180 pounds so no great bargin as you have already shelled out quite a bit. The bose where only 2 years old and had very little use and well looked after. The downsides to the sennhiesers are...they are larger than most as they cover your ear but very comfortable so you forget you have them on and your not looking at yourself so no big problem On buses they tend to distort the sound when you hit jolts which around London is every few feet so wouldnt recommend them for bus travel Apart from that they sound great feel realy comfy on and cut our constant drone on aircrat..So buy with confidence

Quality headphones!
Been using these headphones for about the past 6 hours straight, the sound quality is amazing! I'm listening to mp3's @ 320kbps mainly, but they really shine when you expose them to some lossless audio! The bass wont be to everyone's liking, especially for certain genres of music (i.e. these are NOT monster beats. Dance/rap fans may wish to look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong though, it is still far more than satisfactory!) but I would imagine that most people would be happy with their reproduction of their favourite songs! My only issue so far is the noise cancelling doesn't seem to be quite what they're making out. I've tried them in bypass mode with no music playing in a reasonably noisy household environment and can seem to hear everything through them! Even when i've turned on the ...
