I really like the camera, takes crisp images. I bought it and got some manual lenses separately. I would suggest using rechargeable batteries, as some models are known to have an issue where the charge runs out very quick. More info can be found about this via a google search. Mine had this issue. This can only be solved with a software update but you need the coupler/charger for this which is very hard to find). I already owned a Samsung GX20, which I am very pleased with, so why did I buy this? The GX20 doesn't do video, and I was looking for a video quality that would be superior to that delivered by my old Samsung DV recorder, to use to capture guests at my brothers wedding, and that I could use with all the lenses that I have accumulated since I bought my first Pentax, a second-hand 1961 S1 that I acquired more than 40 years ago. The reduced megapixels compared with the GX20 seem down to a small change in the aspect ratio. The pictures look just as good. The video picture looks really good to my eye. Autofocus doesn't work during video, nor aperture control from the camera, but a suitable manual lens allows smooth and silent manual adjustment. Excellent DSLR for a newby!
Reviews in general were excellent for the camera. The features it has are very good, and for the price range this camera falls in, it is EXCELLENT value for money. I found the camera so easy to use and understand, and as a first time DSLR camera purchase, this was important to me. Best of all, the image quality is superb. I LOVE this camera and have found a new hobby for myself.

Great value with great features providing fabulous pictures
