When The History Channel decided to send mixed martial artist Jason Chambers and former pro football player Bill Duff out to learn the various fighting styles the world had to offer, few thought that it would provide as much entertainment value as it did (or pain in the cases of Jason and Bill). But through their travels and lessons, the show Human Weapon was born. The premise was simple: send these two men around the world to learn fighting styles from the best the world had to offer. Then, have the two test what they had learned in a showdown against a master of the various styles. Over the course of the series (which ran for only one season), Jason and Bill learn how to survive the battles in Israel with Krav Maga, how to knee and leg kick your opponent into submission with Muay Thai, ... The disc also contains Mixed Martial Arts, Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, Silat, Kung Fu and many more. Jason and Bill do very well as co-hosts of the show and go to great lengths to make sure the lessons are easy to understand for the viewers at home. Overall, this series will be a tremendous help to anyone, including those who hope to one day become a human weapon.

"Human Weapon" is a great way to spend a weekend if you like martial arts, mixed martial arts, or just fighting in general. I am a Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, UFC, and Pride FC buff. Each episode of "Human Weapon" features a different fighting style and follows the path of two fighters as they attempt to master each fighting style. At the end of each episode, these fighters use their training to fight a more experienced practitioner of that particular style. I would have rated "Human Weapon" as "Excellent" if it was not for "Fight Quest", which is a similar television series that aired on a different cable network. "Human Weapon" appeared on the History Channel so it does not come as a surprise that this series details the history of each featured fighting style. The history ... A cultural experience
I remember when this series first came out. I was just flipping channels when I saw the Human Weapon come on. At first I thought it was just another fight show that seemed to be getting popular like the ultimate fighter, WEC, UFC, boxing, strikeforce, etc... What I found was a show that was exploring a different culture through its national martial arts. It showed the strength, character, and differences of all of these countries and their martial arts without bias and it was eye opening. I didn't even know countries like India had martial arts! I figured they copied others, or had some simple folk wrestling. All in all, it was eye opening, beautiful, and commentary and the fights were entertaining.I remember when this series first came out. Human Weapon - The Complete Season One i
i brought this item reason being that i am a martial artist and and love many different styles that were presented on this season...the subjects they chose for the season made it interesting to see what they could/would make themselves to be buy pushing the limits.... i recommend this dvd set to anyone who wants info on something new or curious about martial arts or just a fan....

I loved this show. Two guys traveling the world. Learning and praticing different martial arts from different countries. Who could ask for more. It was like being there with them. They were both funny and couragous. They keeped the show very interesting. I hope you take the time and watch it, you won't be disappointed.
